Sunday I went to Higashi-Hennazaki cape, the Southernmost tip in Miyako. I was stunned by the beauty of the place, a little Halong Bay but with plenty of light instead of mist.

Miyako non ha solamente spiagge e un mare clamorosamente belli. L’interno dell’isola, contrariamente a quanto me la ero immaginata avendo letto una falsa descrizione su wikipedia come “piatta e coltivata quasi esclusivamente a canna da zucchero” è punteggiato di splendide gradazioni di verde, nonchè di una varietà notevole di culture.
Oggi ho fatto un bel giretto in bicicletta dalla Guesthouse alla spiaggia di Sunayama, passando per Hirara, il capoluogo dell’isola, dove mi sono fermato a pranzare. Tra andata e ritorno una trentina di km, con pendenze lievi, giusto per stare un po’ allenato.
