In Miyako there are 5 species of mangroves. What makes this mangroves specials is that they develop in an area without rivers. In Shimajiri they built a footbridge that makes a visit a strange cool experience, for people like me that has seen mangroves only from a boat. I wish only there was a better light for taking pictures, but we are in the rainy season.

L’interno dell’isola, contrariamente a quanto me la ero immaginata avendo letto una falsa descrizione su wikipedia come “piatta e coltivata quasi esclusivamente a canna da zucchero” è punteggiato di splendide gradazioni di verde, nonchè di una varietà notevole di culture.
