Otōri (オトーリ) is how people drink Awamorì, the local drink distilled from rice, in Miyako.

People sit in circle. One person, the oya (親、おや、 master of ceremonies), makes a speech, fill his glass, drinks in a sip, then pours awamori for the neighboring person, who has to drink in a sip. And so on until everyone has drunk his cup. Then the oya moves counterclockwise around the circle, and the procedure is repeated.

As you can see people end up drinking a lot and this is probably the reason there are no centenarians men in Miyako.
