Vagabonding around the World

Categoria: Spain

Photo-Gallery: Sevilla, Patria del Flamenco

Sevilla, patria del Flamenco, what a magic place it is. With its gipsy culture, hot nightlife, yummy tapas and the astonishing Plaza de Espana, one of my top 7 favourite Squares. I can’t believed I didn’t came back yet since my only visit in February 2004.

Photo-gallery: Madrid, Estadio Bernabeu

I went to Madrid few times, but only once to the Santiago Bernabueu Stadium, the most imposing I have ever been. Yes, more than Maracanà in Rio de Janeiro, Camp Nou en Barcelona and San Siro in Milan. Not for nothing “Miedo escenico” (stage-freight) it’s an expression created for this Estadio. I gave a free ticket to who recognize the game I toook the pictures.

Photo-gallery: Cadiz Carnival

I went to Carnaval in Cadiz (the biggest one in Spain, together with the one in Santa Cruz de Tenerife) twice: in 2004 and 2010. Cadiz is a small but beautiful coast town in Andalusia.

Photo-gallery: Valencia fallas

I visited Valencia for the first time on January 2004. I come back on March 2006 for “Las fallas” a traditional yearly celebration where every ghborood of the city elaborate firecracker-filled cardboard and paper-mâché artistic monument in a street and burn them.

Photo-gallery: Valencia (España)

I visited Valencia in January 2004 and came back on March 2006 for the big celebration “Las Fallas”. Valencia is a beautiful city, with a great weather, a great nightlife in Barrio del Carmen and many old and new arts building from famous local architect Santiago Calatrava.

Photo-gallery: Sherry bodegas in Jerez de la Frontera

Sherry Fino is by far my favourite aperitive wine. I visited the Tio Pepe Gonzalez Byass winery (bodega) in Jerez de la Frontera twice: in February 2004 (when I took this pictures) and 6 years later in February 2010.

Photo-Gallery: Alhambra, Granada (Spain)

I visited Alhambra, the enchanting Arab palace in Granada (Spain), in January 2004, during my first trip to Andalusia. Granada is worth it only for this, but if it’s not enough for you, then it should be know you can find the best free tapas and the beautiful barrio Albaicin.

Photo-gallery: Ibiza, Cafè del Mar

My first time in Ibiza was in June 2003. My best memory from that holiday was the sunset in Cafè del Mar, San Antonio. This place has become famous for his music, which was surely a fundamental part in creating a unique relaxing atmosphere.
